Chibok Girls Will Be Released On Monday- Boko Haram

The general secretary of  terrorist group, Boko haram who spoke in the Hausa service of the Voice of America VoA on Friday and monitored in Yola affirmed that the Chibok Girls would surely be released on Monday to the Chadian President, Idriss Derby for onward presentation to the Nigerian government.

He also added that an enlarged meeting of the group has been fixed for the weekend to prepare ground for the Monday meeting with the Federal government, affirming that the final ceasefire and the release of the Chibok girls are promises that will surely be fulfilled by the group.

Mallam Danladi Ahmadu, the self acclaimed Secretary General of Islamist sect Boko Haram has disclosed that the final meeting between the group and the federal government to finally seal the ceasefire agreement would take place on Monday in Ndjamana, chad and would be supervised by the Chadian leader, Idris Derby. He also said that the group’s cease fire agreement with the Federal Government is very much on course.

It was further  disclosed to VoA by Ahmadu that the group and the Federal government were in close consultations over arrangements for the Monday meeting in Chad. The Secretary General while commenting on the latest kidnap of over 40 women and girls in the border villages between Adamawa and Borno states  maintained that as far as the Boko Haram was concerned it wasn’t  aware of the latest kidnap and attacks.

He added that in as much as the group is investigating the latest kidnap and attacks to determine the involvement of its members, admitting that many anti-social groups have infiltrated the Boko Haram. Danladi Ahmadu stated that political thugs, armed robbers, kidnappers, hired assassins and other anti social groups now parades themselves as members of the sect, but was quick to add that things been equal if the cease fire agreement is sealed all the groups would fizzle out.

Almost becoming a reoccurring factor in the house, there were tears yesterday as Sipe took offense to an off-hand remark by Idris about her being a gold-digger. She immediately fled to the bedroom where she was comforted by Goitse, and later JJ as well who both encouraged her to be strong and keep on playing the game the way she has always known how to. They told her she that she was a strong woman that was neither a quitter nor the type of person to leave the house without a fight.

Idris on his part seemed not to be aware of the fact that he had hurt Sipe’s feelings with his remarks as he went on to join Samantha and Tayo outside in a conversation that ranged from tourist sites in Africa ranging from Montecasino in South Africa to Selous Game Reserve in Tanzania. Lilian was also sitter with them but she appeared to be bored or perhaps didn’t have much to contribute to the conversation.

After the housemates received the brief for the second week’s Extravaganza including further instructions on how they would proceed with their tasks, the teams split up and discussed their ideas. Between talk of amnesia, the mafia, family rivalry, gods and pregnant girls, teams had the dramatic element nailed. We can’t wait till they start putting their dances together!

The teams seemed to be different from those of last week just as the dynamics seemed better than those of the previous week. However, It did not take long before arguments and confusion broke out within the teams. Sheillah (in Team B) got very upset, complaining that other team members would not let her get a word in edgewise. In Team A, JJ was having no problem making himself heard, taking the lead as always.

Disagreements were however minor, and the housemates exchanged creative ideas between themselves. It is left to be seen if this period of bliss will last till Saturday night, or if a misunderstanding will push a housemate over the edge.

Wenger Made Ozil Play With An Injury!

Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger revealed that he made Ozil play for 45 minutes with and injury because he didn’t think the injury was “that serious”.

Wenger told BEIN sports in an interview that Ozil had told the club officials at half time that he was in a little pain because he had felt a crack in his knee. Wenger had decided to still keep the German on for the full ninety minutes. ‘He had a little pain with his knee, he felt a crack. I said to our physio to keep an eye on him and if there was anything wrong with him, tell me because when you’re 1-0 down, you want to keep your offensive players on the pitch’. Wenger’s decision was apparently detrimental to Ozil as scans revealed that the former Real Madrid player would be out for three months with a ruptured knee.

Arsenal who are currently going through an injury crisis would be forced to play on without Ozil till next year. Wenger claimed that ‘injuries are accidental’ but the French trainer would have to take some responsibility for the length of Ozil’s injury.

Iyanya, Olamide, Patoranking storm UNILAG for Coke Studio Africa concert

Photo: Another American in Liberia tests positive for Ebola

An American cameraman, Ashoka Mukpo (pictured above) working for US TV station, NBC News in Liberia, has tested positive for Ebola, making him the 5th American to have contracted the disease and the first journalist known to have contracted the virus in West Africa.

The 33-year-old cameraman and writer started showing symptoms of the disease on Wednesday Oct. 1st and immediately quarantined himself after suspecting he might have contracted the disease.


He then went to the Doctors Without Borders test center in Monrovia, Liberia where it was confirmed he had the disease. He is expected to be evacuated from Liberia to the United States immediately for treatment.

Four other NBC News team members who have shown no signs of the infection will also return to the US to undergo precautionary quarantin
