Look Fierce In Florals: Over 50 Ways To Rock Spring’s Biggest Trend
As the saying goes, April showers bring May flowers — but get ready to see a whole lot more of florals this season. While there’s nothing new about embracing the feminine print come spring, the look was trending in a serious way on the runway when we watched the debut of the Spring 2014 collections — and in new silhouettes and styles, the print gets a major update for the new season.

We saw the look on practically every runway, from Michael Kors to Marc Jacobs and Dolce & Gabbana — and the look has moved from the catwalk to the red carpet! If you want to try out the trend, you can easily do so in a slew of ways. If you can’t get enough of the fun print, go all out with a floral dress or pair of pants.If florals aren’t usually your thing, ease into the trend by trying a floral clutch, necklace, or pair of pumps. That way, you can rock the accessory with practically any look you already have hanging in your closet. The trendy accessory can easily give your get-up a fresh update, making your entire look blossom in the spring and summer seasons.
South Korean PM resigns over ferry disaster that claimed 300 lives
South Korean Prime Minister, Chung Hong-won, this morning Sunday April 27th announced his resignation 11 days after a ferry carrying school children on a field trip to the island of Jeju capsized and sank, killing over 300 people. (See that here)
PM Hong-won made the announcement at an emergency news conference that held in the country's capital, Seoul, early this morning, days after his government was fiercely criticized about how it responded to the disaster. The PM took responsibility for the slow response of the rescue operation..
"I offer my apology for having been unable to prevent this accident from happening and unable to properly respond to it afterwards. I believed I, as the prime minister, certainly had to take responsibility and resign." the PM said.
The captain and all crew members of the ship rescued themselves leaving 300 school children, teachers and other passengers to their fate. They have all since been arrested and facing charges ranging from criminal negligence to abandoning passengers. The confirmed death toll as of today is 187, while the rest are still missing and presumed dead.

Actor Cuba Gooding's wife files for divorce after 20 years of marriage
Oscar-winning actor Cuba Gooding Jr's wife of 20 years has filed for separation citing irreconcilable differences.
TMZ reports that Sara Kapfer, Cuba's high school sweetheart, filed yesterday April 22nd in L.A. County Superior Court. The two married in 1994 and have three children together.
Sara wants joint legal and physical custody of their kids and isn't asking for child support currently.

The Forbes Five: Meet Hip-Hop's Wealthiest Artists 2014
According to Forbes, Diddy, Dr Dre, Jay Z, Birdman and 50 cent are the richest Hip Hop artists in the world currently...in that order. Didddy is now worth $700million. Wow! See the full report below...
Back in 2007, Sean “Diddy” Combs teamed with Jay Z and 50 Cent to create a song titled “I Get Money: Forbes 1-2-3 Billion Dollar Remix.” Less than a decade later, rappers are closing in on ten-figure fortunes, and he’s the nearest of the bunch.
Diddy leads the pack with an estimated fortune of $700 million, an increase of $120 million over his net worth last year. The change comes largely from the addition of Revolt TV—the new, music-focused, multi-platform channel of which he’s the majority owner—to his already-hefty portfolio.
Diddy has plenty of competition in the race to $1 billion. His top challengers are Dr. Dre, who ranks second with $550 million, and Jay Z, in third place with an estimated $520 million. The former leapfrogged the latter on this year’s Forbes Five thanks to a large stake in Beats By Dr. Dre, which he cofounded with Interscope chief Jimmy Iovine in 2008.
The company controls an astounding two-thirds of the premium headphone market, with annual sales reportedly in excess of $1 billion and growing. Private equity firm Carlyle invested $500 million for a minority stake last year, pushing Beats’ value past $1 billion and likely closer to $2 billion.
“Beats has a unique brand—it speaks to a nice young demographic, which is really interesting to marketers,” says Peter Csathy, former president of Musicmatch, an early digital music purveyor acquired by Yahoo YHOO +0.11% in 2004 for $160 million. “When I think about Beats, I think about it as a lifestyle, I think of it as a media company, not just a hardware and music-focused company.”
Jay Z’s fortune continues to grow at a healthy clip, too. He’s made multiple nine-figure deals in the past, including his $204 million Rocawear sale in 2007 and his $150 million pact with Live Nation in 2008. But much of his recent growth comes from Roc Nation, his record label and management firm that recently added a sports agency. The outfit gets a single-digit cut of pacts like Robinson Cano’s $240 million monster agreement.
Bryan “Birdman” Williams, whose net worth would be over $300 million if he didn’t share his fortune with brother Ronald “Slim” Williams. The duo cofounded Cash Money Records two decades ago; Cash Money continues to grow with a roster that includes Drake, Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne. Birdman has also diversified with Cash Money Content, GT Vodka and the YMCMB clothing line.
Rounding out the list is 50 Cent, who owes most of his fortune to his $100 million haul from the sale of Vitaminwater in 2007. Now he’s trying to repeat the feat with companies like SMS Audio and SK Energy beverages. In the meantime, he’ll reboot his music career by taking his G-Unit Records independent and releasing new album Animal Ambition in June.

Iyabo Ojo changes NGO name to refute Lesbian stories
Yoruba actress Iyabo Ojo started a foundation 3 years ago called Sexy Pinky Ladies which caused some people to insinuate that the female members of the group were all lesbians hiding under the name of the foundation to carry out their activities.
To correct this negative impression, Iyabo Ojo says she had no choice but to change the NGO's name to Pinkies Foundation. In a recent chat with Encomium mag, the actress who is celebrating 3 years of running the NGO talked about the lesbian rumours and how she dealt with it...
"It really wasn't easy but I think it was my fault. I think the name we started with attracted all the controversies. When it was Sexy Pink Ladies, people were attaching a lot of things to it. That was why we had to rebrand and tell people it is a foundation. We are just being focused because the bad press was too much. Some members even had to opt out because the impression people had of us. This is understandable because up to 80% of us are married and it was causing some of them issues in their homes, so had to leave the group for the sake of their homes. Some remained and their spouses got to know what we do and they saw that it's just unfounded rumor and they supported us" she said.

Media sources forecast Vogue’s controversial issue with Kanye West and Kim Kardashian on its cover is on track to sell 300,000 to 400,000 copies, putting it on par with top-selling issues with Beyoncé and First Lady Michelle Obama.
Beyoncé’s March 2013 cover sold about 355,000 copies, while Obama’s the next month sold just under 300,000.
A Vogue rep said, “[We] never comment on sales figures.”
Knorr Taste Quest Episode 12- Maters Training: Desserts
It’s Episode 12 of The Knorr Taste Quest, and the heat in the kitchen was turned down just a little. In this episode, the judges; Dr. Roberts, Chef Fregz, and Chef Renee decided to take the reins, and once again display their culinary prowess as they trained the 7 remaining contestantson exactly how to prepare desserts using ingredients the contestants were given in the last couple of tasks.
The desserts made were;Apple pie and Pomegranates, Shortbread, Pastry rolls, Bread and Butter Pudding, Apple turnover, Apple brittle, Poached Pear boiled in Red Wine and Knorr Classic, Poached Pear andChocolate Sauce, amongst others. Chief amongst the ingredients used were; Basmati Rice, Garri, Mangoes, Knorr Classic, Apples, Pear, Cucumber, Carrots, Milk, Pomegranates, Cashewnuts, Butter, Egg,and Sugar. What an interesting culinary education!!
The ingredients are getting tougher with each week, and now that the contestants have been taught and assisted by the judges, the next episode promises to be more challenging and we mayeven see some contestants evicted.Continue......
